Course Description 

First Aid for Childcarers is a Paediatric First Aid course specially designed for childcare practitioners. The course has a practical focus providing childcarers with essential knowledge and skills in health and safety issues such as dealing with emergencies, resuscitation and anaphylactic shock.

The 12 hour course is delivered over 2 consecutive Saturdays. Candidates will receive a nationally recognised certificate valid for 3 years. The course is approved by the Pre-School Learning Alliance, Ofsted, National Childminding Association and Notts EYDCP.

Suitable for
Suitable for nursery workers who would like knowledge about health and safety in their work based childcare setting. The course is particularly useful for nursery workers who need a Paediatric First Aid qualification for registration with Ofsted. 

Duration
Courses are held over two consecutive Saturdays. The course dates for the rest of 2011 are:

• 18th & 25th June
• 9th & 16th July
