This is achieved by a combination of ongoing experience, training and continued professional development (CPD). The training path for new childcare practitioners usually starts with Paediatric First Aid and continues through to Level 3 and on to the foundation degree leading to Early Years Professional Status. As with most journeys, there are several journey options to your desired destination. You can progress along your chosen pathway at your own speed to suit your other commitments and your budget.
