@Home Childcare Training is an innovative training provider specialising in training for the children and young people’s workforce. We deliver work-based training and are looking to expand to include the Children’s Social Care and Learning Development and Support Services pathways.

@Home Childcare has vacancies for an Assessor and an Internal Verifier (IV), with responsibility for Quality Assurance. The focus of these diverse roles is the delivery of the Children and Young People suite of qualifications.

 We are looking for an assessor with occupational specialism in either Teaching and Learning Support or Children’s Social Care pathways. Experience in the Childcare sector is desirable.  

Our Internal Verifier will have responsibility for quality assurance and our quality improvement plan. Experience or a keen interest in helping us to develop our training business would be desirable.

We are interested in candidates with the right skills and aspirations especially a willingness to grow in an expanding company. You will have experience and knowledge of assessing and (for the IV post) verifying work-based training including QCF. The ideal candidates would be a confident communicator with excellent people skills to support our range of diverse learners.

The positions are part-time - initially 16 hours for the Assessor and 8 hours for the IV post, with a view to increase as and when the business allows. Both posts require minimum Level 3 Occupational qualifications and a

UK driving licence with use of own car

Cover letter  - Your cover letter should be 1-2 pages long and include things about you and your experience which make you stand out. You could  also include why you want the role, details of significant achievements from your previous roles and what you could bring to the company. Good quality applicants are likely to have researched the company, by looking at our website, and looked at current thinking on childcare training and IV/QA from a variety of sources and considered this when deciding on what information to include in the cover letter. This is essential should you be invited to interview.
